Cakes and Flowers

Charlotte attended her first birthday party since moving, back in October, a friend from college. I had no idea what to buy so decided to make the gift and found a pattern for a puff petal keyring. I think she liked it, and it fitted well into my birthday present budget!

Birthday Present

Charlotte decided way before her birthday what cake she wanted, she had seen a chocolate present cake in Sainsburys. For some reason I decided to make my own. However I think it worked out quite well and Charlotte liked it too!

Brothers

2 cards for 2 brothers, different boys different cards.

Hats away!

For Phoebe, hand crocheted with love. And after 2nd attempt managed to get it on her without making her scream!!!

Birthday Cake Turkish Style

February saw Andrew's birthday roll around and I wracked my brains to try and top last year. (Climbing wall with climbers, will have to find pic to post). Anyhow another of his loves is turkish delight, so had this bright idea to make a box of sponge delight. How hard could it be. Well the yellow cake, not obvious on photo worked fine, but the pink didn't happen. FYI pink food colouring (liquid type) and sponge cake don't mix. No matter how much I put in and how bright it looked, when it emerged from the oven it just looked grey. Despite this Andrew seemed thrilled.
